Volunteering opportunity at Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN)
If you are interested in getting involved with BCN, why not volunteer at our Bagmati Nature Park (BNP)? Volunteers play a very important role in the life of BCN. They do not take the place of paid staff, but contribute in a variety of ways to support BCN’s core commitment to bird conservation through education awareness and people’s participation.

Any individual with Bachelors Degree in natural science or social science can apply. Candidates from environment background are preferable.

Benefits: BCN will provide relevant training for you. A minimal cost for travel will be provided.

ToR for Volunteer at Bagmati River Nature Park.

1. You will be responsible for running environmental education mostly related with birds in coordination with Field Education Officer and Coordinator of Bagmati River Nature Park.
2. Bagmati River Nature Park, a section of the UN Park, will be your duty station.
3. You will be responsible for smooth running of visitor centre and provide information to the visitors.
4. Engage and supervise field support staff at BNP as per need.
5. Implement the activities at BNP as recommended by the Field Education Officer.
6. Visit different schools of the Kathmandu valley and encourage students to visit the BNP.
7. You will encourage students and other people to become member of BCN.
8. You will be responsible for monthly monitoring of bird diversity within BNP.
9. You will report regularly to Field Education Officer at Bird Conservation Nepal.
