Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN), the BirdLife
International Partner in Nepal, is seeking applications from qualified Nepali
candidates for the position of Senior Program Development and Communication
Officer.

One year with the possibility of extension on a contract basis
Working
Area: Primarily head office based in Kathmandu with
20% travel to field
Main Responsibilities:
Senior Program Development and
Communication Officer will be responsible for identifying
programmatic priorities and funding opportunities, developing concept notes and
proposals and drafting activities, budget and log-frames to support Bird
Conservation Nepal's mission and goals to protect bird species, conservation of
sites and habitats most significantly Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas
(IBAs) and Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs), implement actions for threatened
species and engage with local communities for sustainability. The Senior
Program Development and Communication Officer should possess the ability to
strategic thinking, creativity and project development skills to develop
innovative programs that address key issues for the conservation of birds and
their habitats
Required
skills and education:
Master’s degree in Zoology, Forestry, Environment, Natural Resource
Management or any other relevant subject. Minimum three years of
relevant working experience in program/project development in conservation
sector. Proven track record of successful fund raising and network established
in previous work. Good command of both English and Nepali languages and
familiar. Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
